Technology Today
It is crazy how much stuff we do online now. In any given day I wake up, check my email and face book and go online to see if my friends are on. I go to class (and often submit homework assignments online or print out notes for the next class) and I even work online (and sign in and out). I check my bank statement, I just ordered a new phone online and I even pay my bills using the internet.
There really aren't many things at all that I can think of that you can't do online. Sure you can't workout or travel on the internet, but you can find workout videos, songs and routines and you can book a flight, check gas prices and even get directions for your tip.
So why not learn on the computer too? CBT (which is computer training) is the new thing. Literally almost everyone is doing it. It is an amazing option for students everywhere, and especially nontraditional ones. You have the opportunity to learn online in your own home, at your own pace. You can chose which courses you want to take and are you are currently a student, you can even do it in addition to your current course load so that you can get in a few extra hours or over breaks or the summer so you have more time to focus on just one class.
If you are currently employed and you are looking to do something like getting your a+ certification, computer training is a great way to go. You can still work your regular job and then on your own time you can do the computer training. It is easy, affordable (a lot of companies will even pay for it for you), time efficient and it shows that you are willing to go above and beyond to do what is best for your company and to take them to the next level.
Also if you are just looking for a job you can pad your resume and show that you are willing to do the work and make sure that you are up to speed with technology, you can go through and get the certification while you are job hunting. It can't hurt you to have more experience in computers and will look great to future (and current) employees.
