stethoscope
I have been looking for a little something to do on the side to supplement my income while I am going through school. I needed something with flexible hours so that when school was putting a crunch on me I could take a hiatus and continue my work. A job that is that flexible is not easy to find. At first I tried telemarketing, but my ego quite frankly couldn't take it, people were constantly getting angry and hanging up at me, cursing me, and I thought that I really should find a new job. Lots of people wait tables at this local place, but I really don't see myself being a server, plus they really aren't very flexible about extending your hours some weeks and dropping off some, so I didn't think that was what I was looking for. I continued asking around and one day was talking to this guy in my anatomy class. He said that for about a year he has been doing sales for a Stethoscope company. I really didn't understand, but he went on to explain that they sell good quality Littmann Stethoscopes and that he makes appointments at doctor's offices and meets with their representatives to try to get them to purchase these Cardiology Stethoscopes. He said they are so good that they practically sell themselves, and that doctor's are always in need of another stethoscope so they are very easy to sell. He said he usually sells at least one at just about every office he goes to and that if he gets in where there are a group of doctor's working together, then he can usually make some pretty good money. He says he even sells them when he is home on break and that no matter where you go there are doctors available to try and sell these things to.
I told him that it sounded like a great deal, and asked if he wouldn't mind checking into me doing some selling also. He said he would and a few days later this guy called me. We met up and he signed me up. I have sold only 5 so far, but it seems to be going pretty well. I like getting dressed up and meeting with the doctors and these stethoscopes really do seem to sell themselves. The great thing is that I can work more one week and less the next and as long as I sell at least 10 a month, they won't bother me at all. I really like being my own boss and setting my own hours. This is the perfect job for me.
