GOVERNMENT HEALTH PLAN MAY NOT BE THE ANSWER

Finding low cost family health plans can be difficult. With everyone trying to save money, it is near impossible to save money on health insurance. Many people wonder why this is, and mostly it is because the cost of the health care itself is so high, and on top of that many individuals overuse and abuse the medical profession for having many different procedures performed that are not necessary. When you think about the cost of health insurance in comparison to the cost of just one visit to your family physician, you will see that in fact the cost of health insurance is relatively reasonable in comparison to the rates that doctors and hospitals actually charge for their services. Everyone wants to blame the health insurance companies, however, what they fail to understand is that the insurance companies are setting limits for reasonable and customary charges, that doctors tend to over bill on time and time again. The problem in fact, is actually not the cost of the insurance, but the cost of the health care itself. This is what is burning a hole in people's pockets.

It is important that when you are looking for low cost family health plans, that you think about how much medical care your entire family could potentially use in a 12 month period. When you compare this to the rates for your health insurance, I think that you will realize that the health insurance companies are not being unreasonable at all, but if anything they are being unreasonably fair. Unfortunately, many are looking toward a government health plan that will cover those who are living without insurance. I really think that reform in this system needs to come from the government, but not in the form of a new health care plan, but in the form of a serious overhaul of the current health care system. This should absolutely include reasonable and customary limits set on all physician services and not just on those that are run through an insurance company. Instead, as is the norm, it is the people without insurance, who already don't have the money, who are expected to pay the inflated charges put forth by the medical profession, and when these bills are not paid, they leave a big hole in the pocket of the government.
