GOVERNMENT HEALTH PLAN MAY NOT BE THE ANSWER

Finding low cost family health plans can be difficult. With everyone trying to save money, it is near impossible to save money on health insurance. Many people wonder why this is, and mostly it is because the cost of the health care itself is so high, and on top of that many individuals overuse and abuse the medical profession for having many different procedures performed that are not necessary. When you think about the cost of health insurance in comparison to the cost of just one visit to your family physician, you will see that in fact the cost of health insurance is relatively reasonable in comparison to the rates that doctors and hospitals actually charge for their services. Everyone wants to blame the health insurance companies, however, what they fail to understand is that the insurance companies are setting limits for reasonable and customary charges, that doctors tend to over bill on time and time again. The problem in fact, is actually not the cost of the insurance, but the cost of the health care itself. This is what is burning a hole in people's pockets.

It is important that when you are looking for low cost family health plans, that you think about how much medical care your entire family could potentially use in a 12 month period. When you compare this to the rates for your health insurance, I think that you will realize that the health insurance companies are not being unreasonable at all, but if anything they are being unreasonably fair. Unfortunately, many are looking toward a government health plan that will cover those who are living without insurance. I really think that reform in this system needs to come from the government, but not in the form of a new health care plan, but in the form of a serious overhaul of the current health care system. This should absolutely include reasonable and customary limits set on all physician services and not just on those that are run through an insurance company. Instead, as is the norm, it is the people without insurance, who already don't have the money, who are expected to pay the inflated charges put forth by the medical profession, and when these bills are not paid, they leave a big hole in the pocket of the government.

Being a Godmother

I am going to be a Godmother! I am so excited and was so shocked when my cousin asked me. She and her husband got married about 2 years ago and they are both older than me (in their late 20's) but they have always been really close to me because we are around the same age and they live close to us. I have never really thought about being a Godmother before but it was such an honor to be asked.

I get to do so much cool stuff too. The baby is due (it's a girl!!) a few weeks after I get home from school in May and I went home a few weeks ago to help them with the nursery decoration process. And when I say process, I seriously mean process. We looked for days at nursery décor and so many different stores and magazines. Finally she decided on pink and white and a little bit of brown accent. I think she wanted it to be classic and girly with the pink and white but also more modern by adding the brown. The nursery wallpaper is white and pink boxes sort of and the top of the wall above it is pink and the bottom is brown. It looks so amazing and after her shower we hung up the entire little baby clothes on tiny hangers!

I never really thought about having kids or wanting them (I'm only 21) but after doing this I can't wait (well I can ha but I'm excited for when it happens in the future) to decorate and get ready for a baby. All of the gifts she got and registered for were delivered to her house and I helped her put everything away and set it up. There is a little rocking chair in the corner and also a sofa and a foot stool as well as a tiny crib and a basinet. Everything is so small and looks so cute and innocent and I really like the end result of the pink and brown together. I think she was nervous at first but it turned out so great.

I just can't wait to actually see and hold her and get to see her in the room we spent so much time working on. Let's just hope that I am as great of a Godmother as I am a decorator.

Why are the fees so high on a reverse mortgage?

The reverse mortgage fees provide the consumers with various kinds of financial benefits and advantages in their investments. It has been seen that the fees of these reverse mortgages are very high and one of the major reasons for the same is that unlike the regular mortgage loans, these reverse mortgages don't carry the burden of your loans to your heirs. Also there is lesser investment costs involved in these loans.

The reverse mortgage loans

It has been seen that the reverse mortgage loan is a federally insured private loan, which is given to the senior homeowners and this also enable those over the age of 62 in translating a chunk of their home equity into cash. When you are dealing with reverse mortgages there is no requirement for a repayment until the homeowner decides to sell the home. This can also be applied in the case where the homeowner does not use this as a principal residence, or in case of death, where the home is sold or refinanced by the inheritors. This amount is then used to pay off the mortgage and the remaining equity is given to the living heir or nominee.

The disadvantages of a Reverse Mortgage loans

The disadvantages of a reverse mortgage is that the seniors using a reverse mortgage loan could get into dire straits due to their frivolous spending habits. The purpose of the loan is to help the people who have not already dissolved their home's equity. But another disadvantage here is that till you are expecting to stay in that mortgaged home for at least five years, these reverse mortgages are not very beneficial for the consumer. It has been seen that the up-front costs are very high and until you are planning to stay there for five years, there are no immediate benefits.

Using these reverse mortgages for your benefits

It has been seen that reverse mortgage are straightforward if you have done your research and taken legal help. This is very essential if your medical bills and climbing expenditures have made it difficult to survive in your day to day life and also for those who are planning on staying in the home indefinitely. For such people these reverse mortgage loans are an ideal solution and a great way to get extra cash to keep afloat and that without the usual hassles of an extra monthly payment.

Phone Websites

I was looking at a website the other day called www.advancedtele.com and it really was interesting. It basically is a blog website where people talk about things that have to do with phones and messaging. Everything from the mobile marketing association sending text messages as a way to market a product to using your phone for dating.

One of the blogs talks about voting on who is the hottest wife of athletes and there is a little blurb there and a description and then you text in to vote on who you think should win. It is weird to see now how much TV and internet incorporates phones and text messaging now. When I was watching a TV show the other day, one of the ways to vote for your favorite dancer or singer on the show was to text their letter to a certain number. There are so many shows with interactions now that involve the audience (us) voting on who the winner should be it can make your head spin.

Another one of the blogs written was about mobile advertising. It talks about how many ads people get through text messages now and how mobile marketing really is on the rise. We were talking about advertising through the internet and phone in class one day last semester and at that time I had gotten thousands of emails about ads and pop ups when I was online (they are everyone on the internet) but had never gotten a text message. But then a few weeks later I got an ad through text message about a magazine subscription and then a few days later I got one for a local gym (which is weird because my phone number isn't local since I am away at school). I do wonder how though they end up getting my phone number.

But it does make sense that marketing through TV and internet and text messaging would be so popular right now, because we spend so much time each day with these types of media. People are just throwing away what looks like junk mail when it comes in the mail now and not even stopping to look at it because you can recognize right away what it is. But if you get a text message you are bound to open it and see, even if you erase it right away, you have to read it to find out what it is.
