As an English major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, my research involves the study of American Literature and Darwinian Theory. I am currently working on a thesis related to social and scientific Darwinism in 19th century literary texts. |

Other academic interests include Classical and Medieval Literature, 20th Century Irish Literature, Rhetoric and Composition Theory, Professional Writing and Technical Communication, Science Writing, and Non-fiction Writing. |

I hope to attend graduate school with a concentration in American Literature. My research will most likely consist of Darwinian Theory, Feminist Theory and Gender Studies within the 19th century time period. |
