First, here is a link to the site: Web Shots
The review:
Description: This web site contains screen saver software and images for sale for PC's.
Form: This web site also looks neat, clean and professionally done. Key information is presented clearly on the home page. It contains eye catching samples of the product and prominently displayed instructions on how to sample it for free. It also has several animated spots for displaying ads from supporting advertisers.
Content: The content of this web site is limited in that it is focused on the company's product, screen saver software and images. I actually purchased the screen saver product myself and like it very much. I will visit this site from time to time to see if they have added new collections of screen saver themes and images.
Tools: This web site uses simple HTML, tables and frames. It also contains animated advertising spots but I'm not sure how the animation is accomplished. I don't see references to Javascript in the page source information.
Appeal: This site appeals to
me because I find the product that it is about very appealing. I
have seen many examples of screen saver products over the years and this
one does a great job, in my opinion, of focusing on the most important
parts of screen savers nowadays. It focuses on high quality images
that are used as screen saver slides and also as background desktop images.
It is also not cluttered with a lot of distracting information from advertisers
or other products or services that company may sell. I downloaded
many of the screen saver collections it offers and never had any trouble
with slow or stalled downloads. All files that I downloaded appeared
to be intact and functioning normally. I didn't encounter any corrupt
or broken packages.
