There's no doubt personally knowing the people in this picture adds a meaning to it which words are not quickly found to capture.  Maybe I'd just say "Mom, Dad, these are some of the people that taught me how to jump out of airplanes."  I won't reveal names but now you're looking at a school principal, a marketing magnet, a couple of college professors and a couple of other professionals.
My friend Bill Bonnette takes a peek under the cowling of a Cherokee.  He and I flew it to Florida for a week one winter.  We went to meet up with some of our other skydiving friends who were down there jumping in a competition.  We borrowed the plane from an airplane mechanic who asked us to break in the engine he had just rebuilt for it.  Unfortunately, after we got to Florida, the electrical charging system quit.  We limped it home at the end of the week. It was still cheaper than flying the airlines!
