1. Click the Start button

2. Then select "All Programs Accessories System Tools Backup"

3. As you will see a Backup and Restore Wizard window will be shown

4. After that click Next. The window that appears will ask which operation you want to perform

5. You should select Back up files and settings option (in case you want to create backuups of your data) and Restore files and settings option (in case you want to restore any backup)

6. Then you have to click Next again

7. What you will see then is the Back up screen. On this you can select which files you would like to backup. The backup system enables you to backup the following:

1. My documents and settings. (this includes My documents folder, Favorites, Desktop items and also cookies)

1. Everyone's documents and settings. (My Documents folder, Favorites, Desktop items and cookies of every user of the computer)

1. All information on this computer. (quite simple this makes a backup of the entire data on your pc. You can also create a system recovery disk. This might be helpful if you have to restore Windows whne there was a major computer failure)

1. Let me choose what to backup (you can select the files and folers you like)
2. Now select the appropriate option and click Next. The following screen is displaying your selected option. Let's assume we took the let me choose option.

 

8. You should now select the files and folders you want to and click Next. You will see a window where you can choose the savings destination of the files that are being backed up.

9. Any location can be selected. After that you click next and arrive at the finishing wondow of the backup process.

10.If you click finsih now you complete the process. Furthermore, you can also specify advanced backup options by clicking the Advanced button. You can choose the type of backup which you want to create: Copy, Normal, Incremental, Daily, Differential .

11. Finally select the type of backup you want to create and click Next. The wizard will now start creating backup of the files and folders.

In the end you will see the Backup Progress window which shows you the backups statistics. Backup of the files and forlders on your computer system or on network have been created.
