Institute for Computational and Experimental Study of Language

This is a temporary website that houses information about ICESL (suggested pronunciation: [ˈaisəl]).

This institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst supports interdisciplinary research that uses computational and experimental methods to study human language as a cognitive system. It provides small grants to help launch collaborative projects between members of the six departments represented in the institute, promotes research through meetings and internet resources, and facilitates multi-disciplinary student training.
