JAVA HUT RUNS
AMITY HILL RUNNING CLUB--IT'S NO PLEASANT
ST.
| On Saturday mornings the club gets
together for a five mile fun run out to the Java
Hut in Sunderland, MA. The Run is fun because there are no hills
involved and at the end of the run there is good black java and
conversation. Occasionally we will also have a dry bagel.
The Java Hut fun run was first started by Nelson Lacy and Anurag Sharma. At 6:30 am, they would both drive out to the Java Hut, drop off a car, return to North Amherst and begin their run. Now, different members alternate the driving responsibilities. The run is quite pleasant, starting out with views of the Puffer's pond waterfall. Depending on the time of year, stunning sunrises can be seen. If one is observant, and has the right level of endorphins, cosmic light reflections can be seen from coffee cups. |
