My name is Gwendolyn, and I was born in the central Massachusetts city of Worcester. I am cursed with a severe case of wanderlust, and by the beginning of my senior year, I will have spent time in at least six countries and four continents.

• standing at Macchu Picchu and seeing the lush green hues of the Andes mountains
• attending a wedding service given in a language I don't speak, a country I'm not familiar with, and still recognizing the rituals and rites of love
• feeding "flying foxes" in the Daintree rainforest at the northern tip of Australia
• raising a Melomys (wild grass rat) who lost his mother due to an unfortunate tree-planting accident when he was only a day or two old
  
• white-water rafting down the Tully River
• watching a dance performance in the Sydney Opera House
• snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef
• kayaking over a beautiful reef on the coast of a Fijian island
