Instructions for enlarging screen of videos on u-drive:

Instructions to download the course videos to a hard drive:

Windows:

á      in u-drive, right-click on the file you want, and a menu should pop up,

á      select "save link as" or "save target as" (depends on your browser)  ["Alt" +click is a short cut to do the same thing].

á      A window will open asking where you would like to save it, just make sure you pick a place you know how to find (desktop is pretty easy).  You have to make sure you click on a file, it should have an icon for the file type next to it.

á      NOTE: If there is a folder icon next to what you click on, it will NOT save contents of the entire folder, it only saves the hyperlink to the page with the actual files.

Macintosh:

While someone did mention the right-click, "download linked file" option, I tried that earlier today and it gave me a username/ password prompt for which student/mermaid didn't work, so I used the following:

á      once inside the class' u-drive,

á      click the film file and it will open in the browser window.

á      move the curser to the address bar of the video file and hold "option" and "enter" if you have an Apple computer

á      [I think it's control, enter or something for a PC]

á      it should start downloading to your desktop.

If you want to download the film and watch it on your computer, the hands down best video player is VLC player. The download is found here and you just have to select the operating system of your computer and download it:

Once the video file is opened in VLC, you can just double-click the video, and it should open in fullscreen.
