Purpose and membership
According to the Bylaws of the Faculty Senate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Section 6-8:
The [University Computer and Electronic Communications Committee] shall recommend policies designed to meet the educational and administrative computer and electronic communications needs of the campus.
Its membership shall be:
- Fifteen members, including one from each of the schools and colleges and one from the professional library staff;
- The Associate Vice Chancellor for Computing and the Vice Chancellor for Research, Graduate Education, and Economic Development, serving ex officio;
- The Chairperson of the Research Council or a designee, serving ex officio;
- The Director of the Library, the Director of Telecommunications, and the director of the Engineering Computing Service, all serving ex officio;
- One graduate student and one undergraduate student;
- The Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs or designee, serving ex officio; and
- Five College Coordinator or designee, serving ex officio.
