Developing an appropriate motion for consideration by the Faculty Senate aimed at eliminating the computer account fees? - crafting a motion. - who would be covered under this fee elimination? - what about treatment of visiting/temporary faculty and research associates/coPIs who could legitimately be considered as needing university privileges? - what is the administration's position? b. What is our appropriate response to the Board of Higher Educations Mandate that all students should have a laptop. - What is the historical treatment of this idea on campus? Do our minutes and/or those of other committees reflect on useful discussion of this topic in past years? - What are the potential usages that such a mandate would allow given the current and near future technological capabilities? How many of these laptops could be accomodated, connected in a classroom? 4. New business a.
