The Childrens Choir of Springfield had their debut performance on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Trinity Church in Springfield. They were joined by the Lyric Choir of the Boston Childrens Chorus.
Students in this first choir came from the following schools (Teachers in parentheses):
Beal (Jean Acree), Freedman (Jean Duperre), Harris (Cynthia Cloutier), Homer (Cathryn Therrien), Indian Orchard (Julie Jaron), Pottenger (Katherine Kruser), Sumner (Jennifer Price), and Warner (Katherine Kruser).
Vera Baker is the Managing Director, Wayne Abercrombie the Artistic Director and Conductor.
