Frida Kahlo was born in Mexico in 1907. Throughout her life she pretended
she was born in 1910, the same year Mexico gained its independence. She
wished her life began with the new life of modern Mexico. She had a love
for independence.
She was stricken with polio as a child and was seriously injured in a bus
accident later in life
