Elisabeth M. Hamin, PhD, is an assistant professor of Regional Planning in the Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is Graduate Program Director for the PhD in Regional Planning. Her primary courses are Studio I for the MRP program (RP 675), Growth Management (RP 545, available to non-majors), and the doctoral seminar (RP 895).

Dr. Hamin's core research falls into two areas. The first is research on growth management policy and regionalism, at the state, regional and local level. The second is in the interrelationships among residents, working landscapes, and protected areas.
