Elisabeth M. Hamin, PhD, is an associate professor of Regional Planning in the Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is Graduate Program Director for the PhD in Regional Planning. Her primary courses are Regional Planning Studio (RP 675), Introduction to Land Use (RP 650, available to non-majors), and the doctoral seminar (RP 895).
Dr. Hamin's core research falls into two areas. The first is research on local governments and land use planning for climate change. The second is growth management policy and regionalism, at the state, regional and local level.
