I am the coordinator of the Learning Commons and undergraduate library services at UMass Amherst. In this position, I interact with many groups of people--students, campus service providers, faculty, administrators, and library and OIT staff--to plan and ensure high-quality services.
My professional interests involve the use of emerging—as well as fully emerged—technologies to deliver library and information services. I have several years of experience designing and maintaining websites for libraries, and have presented on usability and federated search. I am also a proponent of delivering library services and information via nonstandard media, such as instant messenging, FM radio, and various social software applications.
