I am Coordinator, Learning Commons and Undergraduate Library Services at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In this position, I interact with many groups of people--students, campus service providers, faculty, administrators, and Libraries and OIT staff--to plan and ensure high-quality services.
I am the liaison librarian for Commonwealth College (the honors college at UMass Amherst) and Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration. I also work closely with the First Year Writing Program to integrate information literacy into this required course for all first-year students.
My professional interests involve the use of emerging—as well as fully emerged—technologies to deliver library and information services. I have several years of experience designing and maintaining websites for libraries, and have published and presented on usability and federated search.
