"Numerical Relativity Waveforms and Searches for Gravitational Wave Signatures" Laura Cadonati - University of Massachusetts, Amherst On behalf of the NINJA Collaboration Over the past few years, the rapid progress in numerical relativity and the approaching of advanced gravitational wave detectors have triggered new collaborations, aimed to join the expertise of relativists and analysts for the detection and interpretation of plausible gravitational wave sources. This talk will review recent progress in addressing the question of what is the most effective role for NR waveforms in the detection and characterization of binary black hole coalescences and other sources, from the perspective of a data analyst.
