4. The following sentence is ambiguous:
a. Where did John say that Bill exercises every day? 
It could be asking about the location of John's speech act or the location
according to John of Bill's gym. Draw the two trees that correspond to the
two readings of (a). 

The following sentence primarily has the reading where we want to know
the location of Bill's gym (according to John). 
b. Where does John believe that Bill exercises every day?
What would the other reading be? Why is it not readily accessible?

Finally, (c) seems plain weird.
c. Where does John believe the rumor that Bill exercises every day?
What aspect of its structure makes it weird? Draw trees to show what
reading is available and why the unavailable reading is unavailable.
