Some things to keep in mind for the final draft. 1. The text should be 10 pages double spaced. The bibliography section should be on the 11th page. 2. A lot of people read a description of a phenomenon and paraphrased the description in their paper, putting anything that they didn't understand in quotations. Bad idea. Don't write down anything you don't understand. 3. Use scare quotes sparingly. 4. Be careful to avoid dangling modifiers. 5. The bibliography needs to be correctly formatted. Just giving the name of an author/website is insufficient. Make sure you look up the Ethnologue and consult an actual grammar. 6. The abstract needs to be an abstract i.e. it must summarize the contents of the prot and give the reader a clear idea of what the paper is about. 7. Proofread for grammar and spelling. And most importantly, examples, examples, examples! Your report should have examples for all the points that you are arguing for. Follow the textbook with respect to the presentation of examples from languages other than English - the original words on one line, the English glosses on a the next line, properly aligned with the original words, followed by the translation in the last line.
