Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student in your first semester of college
- Must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or above

Joining:
Once grades from the fall semester are posted, ALD works with the Registrar's Office to contact all qualifying freshmen with an invitation to join Alpha Lambda Delta. In April, we host an induction ceremony for all new members and their families.

Fee:
We require one-time member dues of $50 to be inducted into ALD. $25 of this goes to National ALD and the other $25 goes to UMass ALD to cover the cost of induction and to help cover costs of events through the year.

Maintenance:
Membership into ALD is for life. You need not maintain a 3.7 GPA beyond your first semester. Participation in ALD events is not mandatory, though we strongly encourage members to take advantage of opportunities that the officers work hard to organize.
