Use this form to obtain Section Designer Access for Teaching Assistants, Colleagues or other Assistants. You may also request Contributor Access for Users with active OIT Accounts.

Section Designer Access for a Teaching Assistant (TA)

Graduate and undergraduate (SPARK-Only) TAs receive access to SPARK automatically, via a feed from SPIRE. Use this form to expand their access to include the ‘Build’ tab. The ‘Build’ tab enables TAs to add and update course content (e.g., upload files, create assignments and quizzes).

Section Designer Access for a Colleague or other Assistants

Fill out this form for colleagues or other student assistants with an active OIT Account who are helping you design your SPARK course. Your colleague or assistant will receive access to the ‘Build’ tab, but will not be able to access students’ information or SPARK’s teaching tools (i.e., the ‘Teach’ tab).
Note: Make sure your colleague is not already associated with your SPARK course. Primary and Secondary Instructors, and Section Assistants receive access to the ‘Build’ tab by default.

Contributor Access for Users with active OIT Accounts

Contributor access is intended for visiting scholars, guest speakers from your department or other departments on campus, students repeating the online component of your course, or other student assistants to view the course or interact with students. Contributors can only use the SPARK tools that any enrolled student would (no editing, uploading, or student data management is available).
Note: If your guest speaker does not have an OIT Account, request a Temporary Speaker Account.
