Clicking on the Quiz icon will take you to the quiz and survey homepage. All the quizzes and surveys for the course are listed. If the instructor has not included a quiz, it will not appear. Quizzes are graded and will be directly tied to your name. Surveys, however, are anonymous. The instructor knows who has completed a survey, but cannot match a student to their answers.

The Quizzes/Surveys tool can be used:

  • To provides a method for traditional objective and subjective testing and surveys.

  • To provide several question types including multiple-choice, short-answer, calculated, matching, and paragraph styles.

  • To prepare students for classroom activities and discussion with practice questions.

  • To gather information about how students feel they are doing in the class with anonymous surveys.

  • To give prompt feedback to students by providing comments regarding quiz items.

Quiz Troubleshooting:

  • Once you begin your quiz do not resize your window as text may be lost. If you must resize your quiz window (make bigger) do so before you begin the quiz.

  • If when taking a quiz the questions window suddenly disappears (pc users), your window has either been minimized (check the status bar at the bottom of the screen) or may be behind your current window out of sight (check behind current window for the smaller quiz window).
