MyWebCT

MyWebCT is a centrally located site where students see a list of courses in which they are registered. MyWebCT enables students to access all of their courses from one page using one WebCT ID and password. In addition, MyWebCT features an announcements section and links to new discussion postings, mail messages, quizzes, assignments, calendar postings and grades for all of the individuals’ courses. It may also provide links to university-wide resources such as the library and campus services.

Once you have logged on successfully, you will see your myWebCT page with links to all of the WebCT courses that you are enrolled in.

• Courses: All of your courses that are using WebCT are listed in the Courses section. You will find an update of new material that has been posted for each course beneath the title of the course. To enter a course, click on the title of the course that is linked. It will take you to the Course Homepage.

• Entry Page: returns you to the UMass WebCT Online Courses entry page.

• Help: opens the WebCT help pages for myWebCT.

• WebCT.com: is connected to the E-learning hub that contains teaching and learning resources and offers access to a community of peers across WebCT courses and disciplines. Within these communities, students and faculty can share information, ideas, goals, and WebCT support resources.

Announcements

When new content has been added to a course (calendar entry, discussion, email, quiz, assignment) – this information will be displayed in a bulleted listing under the course title.

MyWebCT Bookmarks

There are two types of Bookmarks located on the myWebCT portal – Institutional Bookmarks and Personal Bookmarks. Institutional Bookmarks linking to campus resources are provided for convenience. Personal Bookmarks are for individual use.
