Quizzing Tool

The Quizzing Tool can be used to embed a audio or video clip into a question. At this time, only QuickTime and Real Media are supported in a reliable manner.

Adding a clip to a Quiz Question

1. Enter the Quiz Tool.
2. Choose Designer Options.
3. Choose Add new question to database from the Question Database menu.
4. From the question Type drop-down list, and click Go. The Question screen for your selected question type appears.
5. From the Category drop-down list, select the category to which to add the question. Note: If you were viewing a specific category of questions before you began to add this question, the drop-down box will default to that category.
6. In the Title text box, enter the title for the question.
7. In the Question text box, enter the text of the question.
8. Under Format, select HTML.

Adding a Download Link (QuickTime)

1. To add a link to a download video, enter the following HTML coding inside the Question box: <embed src="/location and name of media file uploaded into WebCT> </embed>
   Example: <embed src="/small_isdn.mov"> </embed>
2. Click Add.
3. Complete remaining quiz steps.
4. Click Save.
