A Look at the Etchings of Frank A. Waugh || Annaliese Bischoff - Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture & Regional Planning

Annaliese Bischoff curated an exhibit of Waugh’s etchings created between 1936 and 1943. The show at the Central Gallery in Wheeler House ran from October 9th until November 9, 2003, with support from the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts. More research is currently underway on this subject.

The etching above (5” x 7”) entitled “Sugar Woods, Sunderland” dating from March of 1937, captures Waugh’s affection for the cultural landscape of the New England region. From Special Collections and Archives, the DuBois Library, the University of Massachusetts.
