| Heterodoxy in Economic Theory,
like heterodoxy in almost any other field, has always exited alongside
the orthodoxy and has been defined in relation to it. Orthodoxy
itself, usually problematic to define, could loosely be called
the "zeitgiest"-
the spirit of
the
times.
Of course "the times" are usually very different for different
classes, castes, nations, communities and genders. Hence the spirit
itself will also most certainly differ between them. Without any
more hair-splitting I offer below, some resources for economics
or more generally social theory that steps outside the bounds of
neo-liberal or broadly Keynesian framework and beyond
liberal political and social theory.
Soon to come: Resources on-
Classical or Orthodox Marxism
Third World Marxism
Poststructuralist or Postmodern Marxism
Post-Keynesianism and Institutionalism
Gandhian Economics
Radical Development Theory
Challenging Eurocentric Social Theory
