Madina Masudovna Magomadova, is a Chechen human rights activist, and president of the Association Mothers of Chechnya for Peace. She has a biology degree from the Dagestan Agricultural Institute in Makhachkala, and a law degree (completed via correspondence) from the Chechen State University (Grozny, 1991). She has a total of 18 years work experience in various fields, including teaching, managerial positions and posts at the national court in the Urus-Martanovskii region of Chechnya. In1999 she was elected president of the Association Chechen Mothers for Peace. From 1997 until the start of the 2nd Chechen war she was the deputy chair of the Chechen government's Committee for the Search for Missing Persons. She has participated in several international human rights conferences including the International conference on Peace Problems, organized by the Swedish organization Swedish Peace in Stockholm, an International conference on "World Water Resources" in The Hague, The Netherlands and the 56th, 57th and 58th sessions of the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva, Switzerland. Madina's goal is to serve human rights, and to work towards the establishment of peace and stability in Chechnya, and in the world.
