Program and Schedule Information
We meet every Friday night, except major holidays, from 7:30 to 10:00 at the Bangs Community Center in Amherst, Massachusetts.
We do dances from a variety of cultures, primarily from the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. The dance formations are mostly lines and
circles, with some partner dances.
We welcome dancers at all levels, from first-timers to veterans. You do not need to bring a partner.
Please call (413)549-6748 or (413)323-6330 if you have any doubts as to whether holidays or winter weather will affect our schedule.
Regular Live Music Events at the Bangs Center, Amherst MA
We are currently delighted to offer live music for part of our program, usually once a month.
-
Panharmonium
plays old and new international folkdance favorites
on first Fridays.
We have been blessed with the generosity of these musicians playing for our dancing
enjoyment.
(Please note that the schedule occasionally varies as the needs and schedules
of the musicians dictate. If live music is an important reason for visiting
our group, please call ahead to make sure that we'll be having live music on
a particular evening.)
